With the introduction of newer diagnostic methods, one can monitor the progression of disease and aid in decision making i.e. whether repair or restore the lesion. Lasers represent a quantum leap forward in the dental treatment of all patients, especially the paediatric patients and have set a new standard of providing dental care.
