This study examines the range of culinary verbs found in the English culinary recipes of the 14th and 15th centuries. Over 1500 recipes and 100 verbs have been analyzed. They have been divided into three major groups: cooking, cutting, and preparing. Such aspects as their origin, rivalry of synonyms, contexts etc. have been taken into consideration. Skryť popis
